Question:

I am a small PC board plater in the 9 Silicon Valley area, and have the

ever-present problem of stripping our stainless steel uncoated racks. There is constant pressure for us to minimize the amount of stripping solutions in-house, and the cost of disposal of spent stripping solutions is prohibitive. Is there a rack available that would be a benefit to us, both chemically and production-wise?

Answer:

Yes, there is a product that is available that has proven beneficial to many in your area. Although there are many custom variables to these racks, the basic design remains the same. This rack is light-weight, able to conduct much more current than a stainless steel one, and is plastisol-coated. The need to strip this kind of rack will be approximately 10 percent of the stainless steel, uncoated type.

Thanks to Bill Faulman of Associated Rack Corp. for the answer to this inquiry.
