Make Your Mark
With The Powder Coated Tough Mark
The
Powder Coated Tough Mark was created to provide an easily recognized
symbol that promotes powder coating and a powder coated finish,
similar to the wool and cotton marks. The development of this Mark
resulted from market research conducted with consumers, members
of the finishing industry and marketing and advertising executives
who work for manufacturers of powder coated products. The results
of this research showed that durability is the most important attribute
of a powder coated product and of its finish.
Since
the Powder Coated Tough Mark was introduced in the spring of 1998,
340 powder coating businesses, including 96 manufacturers of powder
coated products, have signed up for the Powder Coated Tough Mark
program. They are displaying the Mark on brochures, catalogs, stickers,
business cards, letterhead, shipping boxes and even on their trucks.
PCI
has an ongoing marketing campaign to support the Powder Coated Tough
Mark program, designed to compel consumers to seek out powder coated
products and encourage product manufacturers to powder coat their
products. The campaign includes advertisements and news articles
in both trade and consumer publications, direct mail, and promotions
at trade shows and PCI events and the PCI web site.
There
is no cost or obligation associated with the Mark program, and you
dont need to be a member of PCI to sign on. PCIs goal
is to create widespread usage of the Mark. The more companies that
sign up, the more value and influence the Mark will gain, and the
more it will benefit everyone who uses it.
Using
the Mark will clearly identify you as a leader in the powder coating
industry, promoting a finishing process that is durable, attractive
and versatile. Contact PCI at 1-800-988-COAT today for your free
Mark Information Kit, which includes artwork, on both camera-ready
sheets and a computer disk, and ideas on how to make the Mark work
for you. With the strong support of companies like you, we can make
our Mark to bring powder coating the recognition it deserves.
