Dear ComplianceNetters:

In my efforts to inject reality into the pwb industrial wastewater treatment plant sludge (F006) debate (I hope to present a paper at AESF Week '99) I would appreciate receiving "F006 Material Profiles" from any of you that feel comfortable providing that data. The profiles are essentially the form that you get from your F006 TSDF (WRC, Heritage,Encycle etc.). Further, I would just like to get a better understanding of how much F006 sludge you generate, is it landfilled or recycled (smelter feed etc.). My word is all you've got that I will just use the data to support a position that this stuff is a commodity, should not be regulated, and that we should get relief from arcane regulations developed in the early seventies that are not reflective of current operational and management practices within the domestic PWB industry.

This data is not really sensitive, however if you think it is let me know that.

Thanks.

Michael: Analytical data for F006 sludges generated by 13 companies employing common electroplating processes are summarized in the text: Pollution Prevention and Control Technology for Plating Operations (p. 311). These data may serve as a useful comparison to any PWB F006 data you locate. If you don't have this marvelous text, send me your fax number and I'll provide the summary table.
